Philosophy of OTA

The Oyebog Tennis Academy believes the opportunity to be involved in sports and education should be made available to every child irrespective of his/her background. Unfortunately in most of the Third World countries, where families have between 6 to 10 children to raise with  incomes of less than less than 2000 dollars a year, getting involved in sports is unaffordable and seen as a joke, unnecessary distraction and a luxury. Getting a college education even becomes a difficult objective to aim at.
OTA challenges these odds by providing underprivileged children with tennis at no cost, encourages them to stay in school while looking out for budding talents who are recruited into the organisation’s training camps and later propelled into colleges abroad( mainly in the United States) for tennis scholarships. Today OTA can be proud of some 20 kids currently playing in colleges in the Unites States.
For us Sports( tennis) is an asset, not only as a healthy lifestyle but also a place for a great educationand therefore a better quality of life.
